www.whatwerewethinking.org.au is divided into two sections: For Parents and For Professionals. If you are a new parent we suggest that you focus on the For Parents section, which aims to provide you and your partner with strategies to adjust well to life with your new baby.
There are a total of twelve worksheets for you and your partner to fill in, either together or separately, shown in the menu on the left hand side of the page. It is recommended that you complete the worksheets in the order they appear in the menu bar. You do not have to complete all twelve at once. There are no right or wrong answers; the purpose of these worksheets is to help you manage your experience as first time parents.
There are three different ways you can choose to complete the worksheets.
Option 1. Online together
Select a worksheet. If you are the mum select the "Mum's Answers" tab or, if you are the dad, select the "Dad's Answers" tab. Once both of you have completed the worksheet select the "Compare" tab and both your answers will appear.
You can choose to print your answers by selecting "print this worksheet to keep a record of your answers (Internet Explorer users only)" in the main menu. We recommend you print each worksheet as you complete them otherwise your answers will not be saved.
Option 2. Complete printed version together or separately
If you and your partner cannot do the worksheets at the same time, download a PDF version of the worksheets from either the left hand menu bar or each worksheet. Select the print option to print. You can then complete the worksheets on the printed version.
Option 3. Combination of Options 1 and 2
• If you and your partner cannot do the worksheets together, one of you can complete them online and print your answers by selecting "print this worksheet to keep a record of your answers (Internet Explorer users only)" in the main menu, to show your partner at a later time. Your partner can then do the same. |
