Both of us gaining confidence

Both of us gaining confidence

The last few days I feel that all I have done is breastfeed, change and cuddle, the nurse was right about the crying. Ari has put on weight and our nurse said that sometimes during a growth spurt babies feed a lot so that’s what I am putting it down to. I look forward to my visit to the Maternal and Child Health Centre and the new parent’s group as it reassures me that everything is alright and that I am doing a great job. Dimitri’s confidence and skills in changing, settling and giving Ari expressed breast milk has really grown and it is a relief to be able to go for a walk on my own. What I really love the most is when Dimitri gets up in the night, changes Ari and brings him to me for feeding. I know he is also tired as he has to go to work at 7am, it’s great that he shares the work. I told him that at least he can have a tea break and lunch break at work but some days as much as I love Ari feel like I don’t have 5 minutes to myself. Dimitri has bought dinner home all this week which has really been a life saver. Tomorrow we are going to get Ari’s first immunisations.
